Here is my most recent – and amazing – Melaleuca story!
We all burn our fingers here and there in the kitchen, right? Last summer, I burned my thumb pretty bad on my electric stovetop and as I ran cold water on it at the kitchen sink, I thought “why not put this on my thumb?” – Mela’s Mint Antibacterial Soap. I dried my thumb and just put a good dab of the soap on my thumb – directly – no water. I did that a couple more times. After time passed, I did not have any sign of a blister – something I totally expected. I told my husband that I found a new miracle fix for burns . . . he looked at me with skepticism and a wink . . .
A few months later, I burned my index finger on a cookie sheet – oh yeah – getting out some Christmas cookies. I repeated my routine from before – again, the pain was relieved quicker than you’d think and there was no blister at all.
So . . . last weekend, I made a dinner that gets cooked on a skillet on the stovetop. I sprinked bread crumbs on top and then put it in the oven as well. I used my oven mitt to remove the skillet and place it back on the stovetop to cool. The girls are running around, the phone rings, and (without my oven mitt) I decide that I should move the skillet back onto a back burner. Sizzle, sizzle!! Ouch – I burnt the inside of my right palm and all five fingers! This is the worse burn I have ever had . . . Michael thought it was between 2nd and 3rd degree. I immediately cooled it with cold water under the sink while my hubby fixed a bag of ice in a ziploc bag. Before the ice, I slathered my hand with the Mela soap. I alternated back and forth between the ice and the soap (with no water) on my hand. This burn stung for a good hour . . . at least.
Would you believe that I woke up and had no blisters at all? I practically had no sign of the burn at all! The skin that had burned looked almost dry if you will — like it needed lotion. So . . . I just rubbed on some Renew!
I LOVE MELALEUCA! Even though I’m not currently building a business anymore, I am a loyal and raving fan and always will be!!
I just had to tell you this story – thanks again for introducing Melaleuca into my family’s life and for adding such healthy benefits as well!
